Grow Spark Reviews 2026: Why Parents Switch to Tallori

Grow Spark by Mortaine has good doses of vitamin D3 and K2, but its label has no calcium, its herbal blend hides the herb doses, and its Trustpilot score is 1.7 out of 5. Its herbs come from a real Korean study, but that study found a small effect: about a tenth of an inch more growth than placebo over 24 weeks. If you want a growth-years formula with calcium, D3, K2, magnesium and DHA in a gummy, Tallori prints more of what matters. We read the label, the study and the reviews so you can judge for yourself.

Grow Spark is a growth supplement for kids and teens sold by a brand called Mortaine (some people search it as Moraine). Searches for it jumped this summer. All the facts below come from the Supplement Facts panel on the Grow Spark product page, checked in October 2026, plus the study and review pages we link. We compare it to Tallori honestly, including where Grow Spark does well.

What is Grow Spark?

Grow Spark is a capsule supplement. The dose is 2 capsules a day, and one bottle lasts a month. Mortaine sells it online for kids and teens.

The brand says it works in a new way. Its page says most growth supplements just add more calcium and vitamins. Grow Spark says it instead helps the body send calcium to bones with vitamin K2, and boosts a growth signal called IGF-1 with herbs.

Mortaine offers a 60-day money back guarantee and sells automatic monthly refills. The page also lists a sleep product called Sleep Spark.

What is on the Grow Spark Supplement Facts label?

Here are the numbers from the label, per 2 capsules:

  • Vitamin D3: 25mcg (1,000 IU)
  • Vitamin K2: 100mcg, as MK-7
  • Zinc: 8mg, as zinc picolinate
  • Magnesium: 25mg, as magnesium bisglycinate
  • Grow Spark blend: 1,150mg, with Astragalus root, Eleutherococcus stem, Phlomis root, bovine colostrum, Eucommia bark and alpha-GPC

The label also says it contains milk, from the colostrum. The Daily Values are based on adults and children 8 years and older.

What is missing matters too. We found no calcium, no vitamin C and no omega-3 DHA. And none of the six blend ingredients has its own dose printed.

Why does Grow Spark have no calcium?

Grow Spark's page says up to 80 percent of the calcium kids eat never reaches the bones. It says the fix is K2, which helps steer calcium into bone. We could not find a source for the 80 percent number on the page.

K2 really does help the body use calcium. But K2 can only steer the calcium that is already there. If a child is low on calcium, K2 has less to work with.

That is a real risk for many kids. Children 9 to 18 need 1,300mg of calcium a day, and NIH says many children and teens do not get enough (NIH). A growth formula with K2 but no calcium leaves that part to food alone.

Tallori puts both on the label: 300mg of calcium as calcium citrate, plus 100mcg of K2 as MK-7 and 25mcg of D3. See our guides to how much calcium kids need and vitamin K2 for kids.

Is there real science behind Grow Spark?

Partly. Three of Grow Spark's herbs, Astragalus, Eleutherococcus and Phlomis, are the same three herbs in a Korean extract called HT042. HT042 has been tested in children.

In that trial, 129 kids aged 6 to 8 who were below the 25th percentile for height took HT042 or a placebo for 24 weeks (Lee and others, 2018). The HT042 group grew 0.29 cm more than the placebo group. That is about a tenth of an inch.

Grow Spark's page says these ingredients were shown to raise IGF-1 in short children. In the study, IGF-1 did go up in the HT042 group, but the difference between the HT042 group and the placebo group was not significant.

There is a bigger catch. HT042 is a standardized extract given at a set dose. Grow Spark mixes its three herbs with colostrum, Eucommia and alpha-GPC in one 1,150mg blend and does not print how much of each is inside. So there is no way to know if a child gets anything close to the dose that was studied.

Is Grow Spark legit?

Grow Spark is a real product with a real label. But a few things gave us pause.

  • Ratings that do not match. The product page claims a Trustpilot score of 4.7. When we checked the Mortaine page on Trustpilot in October 2026, it showed a TrustScore of 1.7 from 34 reviews. Trustpilot also notes the profile is unclaimed and the company has not invited its customers to review.
  • A hidden blend. Six of its nine active ingredients share one dose.
  • Claims with no link. The page calls the formula clinically proven but does not link a study of Grow Spark itself.
  • A label and page that differ. The label lists Eucommia bark extract. The ingredient list in the page's safety answer leaves it out.

None of this proves the product does not work. It does mean a parent should read carefully before buying.

What do Grow Spark reviews say?

On Trustpilot, most of the 34 reviews were 1 star when we checked. The common themes were about the company more than the capsules:

  • Orders that turned into a monthly subscription the buyer did not expect.
  • Trouble canceling, and refund requests that dragged on for weeks.
  • Orders that shipped from outside the US and took a long time.
  • Capsules that some kids found too big to swallow.

There were good reviews too. One parent gave 4 stars and said their son was growing, but they could not tell if it was the capsules or normal growth. That is an honest point. Kids grow on their own, so a few months of growth after starting any supplement does not prove the supplement did it.

One reviewer said their son is allergic to milk and did not notice the milk on the label. If your child has a dairy allergy, Grow Spark is not a fit.

Is Grow Spark safe for kids?

The vitamin and mineral doses on the label are in a normal range for older kids. Still, there are a few things to think about.

  • Milk. Bovine colostrum is a dairy product. Skip it if your child has a milk allergy.
  • Capsules. Two large capsules a day can be hard for younger kids. Some parents open them and mix the powder into juice.
  • Herbs at unknown doses. Because the blend doses are not printed, you cannot check how much of each herb your child takes. Ask your pediatrician before starting any herbal product.
  • Alpha-GPC. The page says it is there for growth hormone support. We did not see a study in children linked on the page.

Mortaine's own page also says to talk to a pediatrician first. We agree.

Where is Grow Spark a good pick?

Grow Spark does some things well, and it is fair to say so.

  • Good D3 and K2 doses. 25mcg of D3 and 100mcg of K2 as MK-7. These are the same doses Tallori uses.
  • More zinc. Grow Spark has 8mg of zinc. Tallori has 6mg.
  • A studied herb trio. Its three main herbs match a formula that was tested in a real trial, even if the effect was small.
  • A 60-day guarantee, on paper at least.
  • For kids who take pills. If your teen prefers capsules to gummies, the format works.

Grow Spark figures from its Supplement Facts panel, read October 2026. Tallori figures from the Tallori label.

The short version: Grow Spark bets on herbs at unknown doses and leaves calcium out. Tallori is a gummy built around the bone nutrients and DHA that growing kids most often miss.

Why do parents switch to Tallori?

Most switches come down to the label, the format and trust.

  1. Calcium is on the label. Tallori has 300mg of calcium plus D3 and K2, the full bone team. Grow Spark has the D3 and K2 but no calcium.
  2. More magnesium. Tallori has 50mg against 25mg.
  3. Omega-3 DHA. Tallori has 50mg of DHA from algae oil, with no fishy taste. Grow Spark has none. Our omega-3 guide explains why it matters for picky eaters.
  4. A gummy, not 2 capsules. Most kids find a gummy easier to take every day.
  5. No milk. Tallori has no dairy.
  6. Every vitamin and mineral dose printed. All 7 doses are on the label. Our botanical blend is small, 112.4mg, and its single doses are not printed. We say that plainly.

To be fair, both brands use K2 as MK-7 at the same dose, both offer a 60-day guarantee, and both keep their blend doses private.

What should you check before buying any growth supplement?

Use this list on Grow Spark, Tallori or any brand:

  1. Calcium, D3 and K2 together. Check that all three are listed with doses.
  2. Blend size and doses. A big hidden blend tells you little about what is inside.
  3. Allergens. Look for milk, soy and other common allergens.
  4. The real study. If a brand says clinically proven, look for a link to the study and read the result.
  5. Reviews off the brand site. Compare the rating on the product page with Trustpilot or Amazon.
  6. Subscription terms. Know if you are buying once or signing up for refills.
  7. Honest claims. Be wary of any brand that promises inches.

We ranked the main options this way in our best growth gummies guide, and we cover the research in do height growth gummies work.

Tallori Growth Gummies are made for ages 5 to 18. They have zero added sugar and are sweetened with monk fruit and xylitol. All 7 vitamin and mineral doses are printed on the label: vitamin C 25mg, vitamin D3 25mcg, vitamin K2 as MK-7 100mcg, calcium 300mg, magnesium 50mg, zinc 6mg and algae DHA 50mg. The botanicals sit in a 112.4mg Tallori Clean Growth Blend, and those single doses are not printed.

Tallori does not promise extra height. Genes set how tall a child can grow. Our goal is to help fill the nutrient gaps that picky eaters often have during the growing years.
